It's no secret. I'm not that big of a fan of 'just anyone' being able to materialize their inner dialog for all the world to see - and what's more - I'm not fully convinced that (in particular) my thoughts could be expressed without at least a little psychological damage on my readers. I mean - what kind of world would we live in if anybody could say anything to everyone? It would be utter chaos! People knowing what other people think? Who thought this would be a good idea?What the heck. Why not. Don't be confused though - I'm not releasing my druthers on the world because everyone else seems to be doing it, but because I feel... nevermind. That's exactly why I'm doing it. 

So what to do about the name... it should be something kind-of pretentious sounding like "An Ominous Ascent" or maybe "The Linguistic Imperative." Maybe a down-to-business name is what I need - like "Thoughts and Aspirations." No - that just makes me want to take an "Aspir-ation" or two. How about a mangled quote like "Blog alone moves the wheels of history" or "For me to Blog on." Ooo oo ooo. Journal. I like the ring of Journal. There. "The Anablepo Journal" the definate article makes it just a little pretentious - and that's good, and 'journal' makes it sound reputable if it's ever footnoted. Yea. The Anablepo Journal it is.

Being one who is preparing for ministry - and involved in active ministry, I'm going to use this blog as an opportunity to develop some thoughts about the application of Christ to ordinary life, and of course a random smattering of things that interest me - just for the heck of it. So, If I should be so blessed as to have your readership on a regular basis, I thank you for your patience, and I look forward to your comments, and remember - put on your foil hats before reading too much.
